COACHES: By checking the box next to "Agree to Happiness Policy in your Account / Registration, you are agreeing to the Happiness Policy as outlined below.
We have a HAPPINESS POLICY. Talent can, for any reason, request a refund for their Coaching Session. This HAPPINESS POLICY is great for bringing in new business, and making the Talent feel more comfortable with both your coaching and our new and innovative service.
Our HAPPINESS POLICY is for resolution and/or possible refunds.Coaches can opt to not participate in the HAPPINESS POLICY. Whether or not a Coach participates will be noted on their public profile. Talent may take this into consideration when selecting a coach. We highly recommend that Coaches participate.
Thankfully, refunds for coaching are quite rare. We do our best to make sure that the refund request is substantiated. We also give you, the Coach, the ability to make things right with the Talent if there is something you can correct or change.
Talent should NOT request a refund/resolution based on these reasons:
1. Not happy with the feedback given by the Coach. (Talent should select their coach with due diligence.) 2. Feedback from Coach was negative. The Talent felt like they did a good job on their performance video, but you, the Coach, either didn't agree or didn't tell the Talent what they were hoping to hear. The Coaches are here to help Talent improve at their performance, not to be just an audience. 3. The Talent feels the Coach charged too much. When they select you as their coach, they are agreeing to the session price that you advertise/set. 4. The coach didn't give video feedback. Coaches giving video feedback for a session is optional. If this is important to a Talent, they can hire a coach who mentions on their profile that they always give video feedback.
Reasons Talent may request a refund/resolution:
1. The Coach didn't complete any or most fields for the session, or feedback was extremely limited.2. Coach mentions on their profile that they will ALWAYS provide video feedback and they do not. Please note that coaches giving video feedback on a session is optional. 3. Coach mentions something on their profile regarding what they will provide in a Coaching Session, and they do not fulfill this. 4. The Talent does not feel that the Coach was honest with information provided on their profile.
Requesting a refund does not guarantee the Talent will receive a refund. We will first attempt to resolve the issue with you, the Coach. If it is unable to be resolved, we will review the refund request in more detail and make a decision.
In the unfortunate event of a refund request or disputed charge, the Coach is responsible for the refund and potential bank penalties (typically $15/charge). (Our payment processor takes disputed charges out of our bank account as soon as they receive the dispute. It can take 90 days or more for that money to be returned if we dispute the dispute and win.)
We will handle contesting the request for refund as long as there was a record that you provided the requested services in a professional and timely fashion.
If a large dispute has already been paid out to you, we will place an immediate charge on your credit card to reclaim that payment. To date, this has never happened. But it's more likely with coaches who charge hundreds of dollars per session.
We love our Coaches and we love our Talent. We want both to be happy, so we will do our best to make the proper decision regarding each refund request.
(Please note that we will monitor multiple unsubstantiated requests by a Talent and reserve the right to revoke their account.)
